SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

Supervises and directs functions responsible for providing financial operations travel support to active duty military and civilian personnel, retiring active duty soldiers, and reserve military personnel.

Establishes and implements controls to ensure that employees validate obligations of funds recorded in the accounting system prior to authorizing payment.

Responds to customers and subordinates regarding travel claims, discrepancies, and procedures.

Researches complex problems covering all aspects of processing or technical travel transactions.

Trains and assists lower level accounting technicians with techniques to correct and process accounting inputs.
