Supervisory Attorney Advisor (Deputy Bureau Chief)
This position is in the Wireless Telecommunication Bureau, Office of the Bureau Chief, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. Relocation expenses will not be paid. THIS VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT MAY BE USED TO FILL ADDITIONAL POSITIONS WITHIN 90 DAYS.
Provides expert legal advice on wireless telecommunications projects involving highly complex legal, factual, and policy issues often on projects which are among the highest Commission priority proceedings. Plans, develops, and exercises full responsibility for the development, presentation, and completion of complex policy planning, rulemaking proceedings, long-ranging goals for the Bureau, including applying legal, economic, and engineering considerations to evaluate outcomes. Serves as Bureau's primary expert on wireless telecommunication matters and has responsibility for maintaining a broad perspective on the functions and activities of the Bureau. Presents Bureau positions on assigned projects and objectives, including in meetings with other Bureaus and Offices, industry, and government representatives, including providing authoritative, expert advice on policy matters and initiatives. Expertly communicates Bureau positions both verbally and in written form on highly complex wireless telecommunications issues, including in rulemakings, orders, policy statements, briefings, and in presentations before all levels of government and industry.
