Supervises budget operations for a U.S. Army Cyber Command unit, ensuring financial compliance, strategic planning, and resource allocation while managing staff and reporting requirements.
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Gordon, GA.
Directs execution-branch operations by managing personnel actions, setting performance standards, and securing critical resources and technical training for staff development.
Certifies and monitors financial commitments to ensure statutory compliance while managing year-end closeouts, spending analyses, and financial systems.
Consolidates and defends comprehensive budget submissions (including OMA, GWOT, OPA, POM, and CBE) in alignment with higher headquarters program guidance.
Advises command leadership on strategic financial planning, resource distribution, and execution strategies supported by detailed variance performance analyses.
Serves as the subject matter expert on financial regulations, Title 10 mandates, and expense guidelines while tracking organizational funding issues and monthly reporting.
