SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Summary

Supervise a team that awards and manages government contracts for military construction and facility services, ensuring compliance with federal procurement laws and negotiating fair pricing.

You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Service Contracts Branch, Contracting Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.

You will perform pre-award/post-award functions for procurements involving complex and specialized procurements for Facilities construction, design and other facility support services of significant importance to the agency.

You will interpret relevant contracting laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to determine applicability to specific contracting issues.

You will perform price and cost analysis to determine reasonableness of price in preparation for contract negotiations.

You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates to meet program goals, objectives, and command priorities, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and participates and prepares schedules for completion of work.

You will develop, review, participate, and mentor subordinates in source selection and evaluation planning. Provides guidance in determination of contract types, methods of solicitation, and negotiation strategy.

You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

You will give advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
