Supervisory Contract Specialist

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Serves as Chief of the Contracting Division, responsible for acquiring for necessary supplies, services, and construction in support of the Little Rock (SWL) District’s mission

Manages the Districts contracting program for single and multiple purpose civil works water resources projects to include recreation, navigation, and hydropower; military design and construction projects, and environmental restoration.

Exercising independent judgment to accomplish the myriad of contracting responsibilities in support of the District mission, to include supervision of the development and execution of the contracting portion of project management plans.

Evaluates subordinate supervisors and serves as the reviewing official on evaluations of nonsupervisory employees rated by subordinate supervisors.
