SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent works as a Supervisory Contract Specialist for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and will be assigned to a USACE duty location, which is negotiable but limited to the locations specified in this announcement.

Perform Supervisory Contract Specialist responsibilities providing leadership, mentorship, and oversight of contract programs ensuring compliance

Oversee contract management for the full contract lifecycle from award through contract termination and closeout develop tracking measures and perform program analysis

Applicant must be able to Serve as a Warranted Contractor; obtaining and, maintaining $25-million-dollar warrant – (Certificate of Appointment) for contracting. Employees are generally boarded within the first 120 days of employment

Serve as the principal contracting advisor to project managers and represent the district when required as the project/program's contractual authority during negotiations, and at conferences and meetings

Plan, assign, and monitor branch workload according to skill and workflow; communicate priorities and expectations providing leadership, mentorship, and program oversight to staff

Advise the Division Chief on workload, program status, and emerging issues while supporting the organization's mission, strategic objectives, and continuous improvement

Perform supervisory personnel functions, including recruitment, employee development, performance management, training, scheduling, and resolution of employee relations matters

Perform program analysis and develop tracking and reporting measures
