Supervisory Contracting Officer

This position serves as a Supervisory Contracting Officer, located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, IT Business Management Staff, Contract Management Directorate located in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for providing expert supervision over a multi-disciplinary team, executing comprehensive contract management under an unlimited procurement warrant, and ensure rigorous program compliance and COR oversight across DOJ-OCIO highest-dollar portfolios.

The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Contracting Officer, GS-1102-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides recommendations on procurement strategies, contract management, and policy interpretation. Directs comprehensive acquisition activities for enterprise-wide IT contracts, including acquisition planning, solicitation, award, administration, modification, and contract closeout. Supervised acquisition professionals by assigning workloads, establishing performance expectations, conducting evaluations, mentoring staff, and supporting professional development. Conducts cost and price analysis to evaluate proposals. Develops and implements acquisition strategies that supported enterprise IT modernization initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and mission alignment.
