SUPERVISORY CYBER EXERCISE PLANNER
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the USCYBERCOM - Fort Meade, Maryland .
Direct and lead a branch within the J71 Collective Training division, exercising full supervisory and personnel management responsibilities for civilian, military, and contractor staff.
Lead all phases of cyberspace exercise and wargame development throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), aligning events with the Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) and USCYBERCOM operational objectives.
Apply Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) and Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES) to represent the Command in Joint, DoD, and Service-sponsored exercises.
Direct Joint Exercise Control Groups (JECGs) during event execution to simulate and evaluate cyber operational actions, ensuring technical and operational accuracy.
Evaluate and validate existing and experimental cyberspace Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) through wargame simulations and real-time analysis.
Develop and present post-wargame briefings and comprehensive After-Action Reports (AARs) and Executive Summaries to senior leadership, driving refinement of cyberspace program strategies.
Oversee team workflow, manage short- and long-term priorities, evaluate performance, apply Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles, and monitor contractor compliance.
