Supervisory Editor (Newspaper) NF-04

This position is located at Stars & Stripes in Washington, D.C. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

As U.S. Bureau Chief (Theater Operations), the incumbent serves as senior editor, advisor, and reviewer for all writing/editing projects assigned or originating within the assigned region of Stars and Stripes.

Personally develops, designs, researches, writes, reviews, and edits publications and reports to the readership on a wide range of topics including complex subjects prone to controversy.

Serves as the staff advisor on written and editorial policy matters. Provides interpretations of writing policy and advises on matters such as content, presentation, interpretation, and explanation to a variety of audiences.

Copy edits articles applying rules contained in the Associated Press (AP) and Stars and Stripes style guides.

Develops annual budget for the operation of the editorial department within the assigned theater. Performs other duties as assigned.
