SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

You will serve as a in the SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***

You will have firm knowledge of regulatory compliance with Federal and Navy Environmental Standards and Laws on matters of air, land and water environmental protection.

You will participate in Internal and External Audits of environmental programs.

You will be knowledgeable of Oil and Hazardous Substance Release (Spill) Response.

You will use your knowledge of waste streams associated with ship repair: Industrial Waste, Hazardous Waste, Reusable Hazardous Materials, Recyclable Materials.

You will develops an annual budget for the Environmental Programs Branch to ensure satisfactory compliance with all JEGS and OPNAV M-5090.1

You will provide technical and regulatory consultation to or provide response to oil and hazardous substance releases originating from SRF JRMC operations.

You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) on matters of air, land, and water environmental protection.

You will coordinate the preparation of requests to abate pollution sources to minimize or eliminate environmental liabilities.

You will develop plans for implementation for environmental protection and historical and cultural resource conservation at SRF JRMC JAW applicable DOD, U.S. Navy, and local host nation environmental laws and regulations.
