SUPERVISORY FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the DoD in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information. Telework availability is limited and will only be provided on a rare case-by-case basis during situations where Agency Leadership has determined that telework serves a compelling DoD need.

Plans, reviews, and analyzes the work of general schedule and wage grade employees operating and maintaining buildings, grounds, roadways and facilities, in addition to providing a variety of administrative support functions.

Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR), administering utility and construction contracts, developing work statements, and managing project designs.

Evaluates present use patterns of buildings, equipment, and other facilities in order to project future requirements in terms of expanding or changing organization requirements.

Manages and evaluates the condition of all facility components, including buildings, grounds, and utilities for the purpose for determining maintenance and improvement requirements.

Develops, implements, and monitors the preventive maintenance program for the facility, to ensure it remains fully mission capable at all times.
