Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist

This position serves as the Senior Secure Facility Operations Specialist and technical authority for the design, construction, and accreditation of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, Special Access Program Facilities, and highly classified workspaces. The incumbent manages complex projects, specializing in technical integrations for shielding and countermeasures. They ensure all facilities comply with Intelligence Community Directives and Department of War standards.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Exercises full supervisory authority over a diverse team of facilities management, physical security, and engineering staff by planning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and handling administrative matters. Serves as the principal technical authority for the daily operations, preventative maintenance, and mechanical support systems of all Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), ensuring continuous readiness and compliance with Intelligence Community (IC) standards. Directs complex facility renovation, modernization, and construction projects from initial design to completion, including managing multi-disciplinary teams, reviewing architectural plans, and overseeing contractor performance. Designs, implements, and maintains robust physical security systems, including intrusion detection and access controls; conducts comprehensive security surveys and threat assessments to ensure federal and departmental policies are met. Acts as the primary liaison between engineering, security, and intelligence stakeholders, providing authoritative technical advice to senior leadership on secure facility design, construction, and accreditation.
