SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority 5 U.S.C. § 9905, dated 6/23/2023 This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will serve as first level supervisor providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Information Technology Branch of the Joint Finance Center.

As a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0501-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Information Technology Branch, ensuring that all financial aspects of acquisition programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities of the Information Technology branch chief. Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements. Represents the financial position of the PEO with a variety of command and functional organizations. Plans, organizes, directs and performs in-depth technical studies. Establishes, develops and maintains effective working relationships with program stakeholders; program managers with USTRANSCOM; and throughout the Services and within DOD.
