SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER

Serves as the principal Master Planner and technical engineering expert for master planning
Provides assistance on all engineering aspects of planning for construction and repair projects
Prepares special studies for consolidation initiatives and base realignment and closure planning
Develops economic analysis of alternatives, project cost estimates, and project schedules
Provides technical advice, guidance and assistance to a team of master planners and professional engineers
Develops short, medium and long range master plans and project specifications
Makes field inspections of facilities and utility distribution systems to verify deficiencies
Inspects projects under construction to determine planning and design adequacy
Advises the Director, DPW, Installation Commander, and USFK concerning Master Planning
Provides advice and assistance on conditions or design deficiencies arising during construction
Directs civilian and contract personnel assigned to the installation Directorate Public Works
Sets performance standards, reviews accomplishments, and renders performance appraisals
