Supervisory General Engineer

Participates as corporate staff member in the development of DCMA programs, establishment of goals and objectives, resolution of problems or issues, development of local policies and procedures, and similar management actions.
Determines organizational resources requirements, develops budgets, and programs and schedules funds in accordance with work projections.
Monitors work progress and recommends workload cross-leveling, when required.
Supervises a workforce consisting of approximately 5 to 10 professional and technical positions ranging in grades up to GS-13 or GS-14 (depending upon the organization supervised).
Develops performance standards, evaluates performance of subordinates and, as appropriately, recommends awards.
Coordinates with the servicing Human Resources office to properly initiate personnel actions (e.g., promotions, reassignments, performance evaluations).
Provides technical advice and assistance on highly complex or unusual designs, tests, simulations, performance evaluations, or other mechanical, electronic, or aerospace engineering processes.
Presents briefings on extremely technical engineering issues, and controversial or high visibility projects to key management officials from higher headquarters, other government agencies, private industry, etc.
