WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory General Engineer/Supervisory Physical Scientist, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes and procedures to monitor the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the Branch. Supervising and managing all aspects of the Branch's research and equipment development activities and exercising full supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Providing scientific leadership during the planning, directing, and execution of the activities of the Branch. Preparing or supervising the preparation of research reports, articles, or monographs describing findings from research studies or projects conducted. Conceiving, planning, and conducting research on unexplored areas relating to mining safety and health. Developing and designing new theoretical treatments and procedures for testing and solving problems.
