Supervisory Health Technician (Optometry)

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Army Medical Center Madigan, Department of Primary Care, Optometry Clinic located at Tacoma, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Advance in Hire may be Authorized Recruitment Incentive may be Authorized

Serve as a first line supervisor over technical staff serving in three primary care optometry clinics.

Supervise all optometry health technicians and medical support assistants.

Direct subordinate staff work and resolve minor daily problems.

Provide on-the-job training to new employees following established procedures.

Assist with patient tracker mock survey activities

Manage appropriate inventory of office supplies, orders major equipment (CEEP items)

Perform direct patient care and administer appropriate diagnostic tests.

Measure visual acuity and record comprehensive ocular history data.
