Administer implementation of approved information technology programs and projects.

Provide for continuous technological advancement in all areas of responsibility.

Ensure effective integration of plans, programs, and operations encompassing a wide range of information systems/functional components.

Study, review, and analyze information technology supported organization mission plans, and operations to determine current and future information systems requirements.

Make decisions and recommendations for information technology program adjustments to meet local conditions and changing situations, as well as to accommodate programs directed from higher echelon.

Serve as the command focal point for decisions relating to all information systems management matters concerned with technology, both hardware and software, plans and programs, policies, procedures and operations.

Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the information technology directorate regarding information systems, technical data management, communications, terminal operations, data bank, audiovisual, and records management missions.
