SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY (SUPERVISORY SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Supervisory Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect (Supervisory Senior Project Engineer) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District USMMA IPO.

Provides technical advice and assistance to field personnel on reported or observed construction problems.

Participates in pre-work conferences with contractors to inform them of field construction requirements.

Arranges for and participates in acceptance inspection of completed facilities.

Ensures continuous inspection of construction by quality assurance representatives.

Manages and participates in the contract modification and claims process.

Manages and performs office engineering functions.

Serves as first line supervisor.
