Supervisory Interdisciplinary

About the Position: Serves as Chief, Construction Division with overall responsibility for management and supervision of the District construction program. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Manages the District construction programs including projects funded by both the US and Japanese Government

Develops long-range plans (three to five years) covering projected activities, anticipated resource requirements, and changes in organization or functional assignments necessary to accommodate projected requirements.

Evaluates the desirability of changes in organization, delegations of authority, and procedures for internal coordination within broad parameters established by higher echelons.

Maintains cooperative relationships with all AE firms, contractors, customer organizations, and the Government of Japan.

Incumbent is relied upon for authoritative advice on all aspects of Construction programs.

Performs the full range of actions required to manage the personnel assigned to the Construction Division.
