Supervisory Interior Designer

About the Position: You will serves as Supervisory Interior Designer (Section Chief) in the Engineering Division, Design Branch, providing technical leadership and administrative supervision for architectural and interior design programs for military construction and civil works projects.

Oversee section operations which include planning workload, assigning projects, employee training and development, position management, performance evaluation, grievance resolution, and EEO compliance.

Utilize Building Information Modeling/ Computer-Aided Design drawing systems to develop in-house designs for architectural, Structural/Comprehensive (SID/CID) specifications, and furniture, fixtures, or other equipment packages.

Direct technical reviews, construction phase support, and submittal evaluations (shop drawings, materials, samples), to resolve complex on-site architectural and interior design deficiencies.

Provide technical advisory and program oversight, including Center of Standardization (COS) initiatives, facility condition assessments, and cross-discipline engineering coordination for military construction and civil works projects.

Direct in-house architectural and interior design development, client consultations, Building information Modeling (BIM), construction document preparation, and post-bidding construction support and submittal reviews.
