Supervisory IT Specialist

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Enterprise Technology Operations Services (JN), Information Technology (J), Chief Administrative Office (N). This position develops and supports agency-wide business automation systems and provides information technology governance, planning, and standards for the agency's enterprise business activities.

As a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will: Serve as manager overseeing Enterprise Technology Operations Services which operates and maintains the enterprise IT infrastructure and operational environments that support delivery of applications services to internal and external customers. Provide leadership in developing, evaluating and implementing technology programs and operation plans to achieve compliance with BPA and IT objectives. Direct the Enterprise Technology Operations Services segment of BPA's overall IT program with a multi-million dollar level of annual resources. Establish overall goals and objectives for assigned staff functions and program segments while creating and maintaining an organizational culture that is customer-driven and quality-focused. Assist the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive strategic IT plan in direct support of BPA's strategic plan and business needs. Provide leadership and direction in the development of BPA's IT policies, procedures and standards and long-range planning in connection with prospective changes in functions and programs.

Failure to test or a positive result on random drug or drug and alcohol tests conducted after appointment may result in removal from Federal employment. This position has been designated as requiring a PUBLIC TRUST background. A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
