SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Performs as an expert Information Technology (IT) Specialist working in a number of specialty area to include policy and planning, security, systems analysis, applications software, operating systems, network services, and data management.

Performs the full range of activities relating to IT project management to include in-garrison support, trip site support, and continuity of operations locations.

Performs strategic planning, capital planning and investment control; resource management; architecture and infrastructure planning and management; technology insertion/modernization.

Serves as an expert advisor on policy development, coordination, and implementation.

Performs work involving the planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the WHMO Command and Control Network.

Performs first-line supervisory duties: plans, prioritizes, and schedules work. Assigns tasks based on organizational priorities. Addresses and deconflicts subordinate performance concerns.
