Supervisory IT Specialist (Policy and Planning/Network Services)
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Implement and support enterprise initiatives, projects, and programs for defining, evolving, evaluating, and improving information management functions across the enterprise computing environment.
Exercises responsibility for execution of services, standards, and ensures responsiveness for application migration.
Coordinate issues within organizations and federal agencies focusing on relating customer requirements, program and Army objectives with assigned activities.
Ensure that shared situation awareness is achieved by fast, precise communications among all Army network enterprise echelons.
Ensure facilities are in optimal health to support NETCOM’s DODIN-A mission.
Collaborate with the command engineers to support FI-MUE and SRM requests; in addition to engineer analysis support for Data Centers that require site surveys for facility upgrades.
Manage and facilitate meetings to ensure the Army will meet the targeted Data Center Closures and redesignation activities.
Supervise the short and long-range planning for the Division's operations. Anticipates and prepares for military contingencies or surges in workload as well as putting in place mechanisms to accommodate ongoing evolution of customer requirements.
Provide supervision to assigned subordinates. Establishes performance standards and evaluates employee performance.
