About the Position: Serves as the Chief of the Software Management Branch, providing technical and administrative leadership over a team of IT professionals managing the lifecycle of enterprise-wide software applications and automated information systems. In this role, you will oversee IT service delivery, coordinate complex projects with strategic stakeholders, and direct the integration of critical scientific, engineering, and water management data systems supporting 40,000 users worldwide.

Direct daily workloads, establish performance standards, and handle personnel actions for a team of subordinate supervisors and IT specialists.

Ensure continuous operation, configuration management, and troubleshooting for specialized engineering, scientific, and legacy software.

Review and evaluate technical specifications, system risks, and engineering change proposals (ECPs) for regulatory compliance.

Prepare cost-benefit analyses, draft acquisition documents, and assess contractor performance as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Track system utilization, performance trends, and operating costs to improve IT business practices and efficiency.

Partner with commercial vendors and federal agencies to test, evaluate, and integrate emerging IT technologies into existing networks.
