Supervises a logistics team ensuring compliance and customer needs, plans workflows, and coordinates with military and federal agencies on deployment and distribution policies.
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.
As a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist at the GS-0346-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Logistics Sustainment Division, Automatic Identification Technology (AIT)/In Transit Visibility (ITV) Implementation Branch ensuring branch personnel comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules. Identify employee developmental needs and provides or arranges for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance. Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with TCC's, Unified Commands, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Military Services, Defense Logistics Agency, General Services Administration, other DOD and Federal level agencies, and commercial transportation organizations. Provide deployment, distribution and logistics expertise for joint capabilities development policy, issues, and processes.
