SUPERVISORY NURSE (ADMIN)

About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Serve as a principal authority regarding referral management processes and procedures.
Lead the Utilization Management Branch staff by establishing and accomplishing referral management procedures and functions.
Provide oversight of professional nursing and clerical staff located in the branch, managing the referral process, and in alignment with Clinical Practice Guidelines and established criteria.
Identify problems with health care access and utilization and recommends alternatives to overcome these difficulties.
Collaborate with key MTF staff to reduce over-utilization and develops opportunities to optimize services inside the MTF.
Perform continuous evaluation of processes and makes necessary adjustments, to accommodate changes and new workload to increase efficiency and/or to compensate for impacts from other operational areas.
Serve as the supervisor for civilian staff (professional licensed practical and registered nurses and administrative staff) assigned to the Utilization Management/Referral Management Branch.
