SUPERVISORY PARAMEDIC (SENIOR PARAMEDIC)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position supervises an assigned shift or station of the pre hospital emergency medical services (PHEMS) program for an Army or Joint Base installation. Fort Jackson, SC.

Supervise the Advanced Life Support (ALS) EMS program for an assigned shift or station for an Army or Joint Base installation.

Provide operational oversight, guidance, and ensures completion of administrative and operational tasks performed by the EMS staff.

Develop and implement supply, equipment and vehicle accountability plans for the shift or station.

Evaluate paramedics and emergency medical technicians’ performance and adherence to policy.

Set priorities and insure timely subordinate performance.

Assign work to subordinates based upon priorities, selective consideration of assignment difficulty, and employee capability.
