Supervisory Personnel Support Specialist

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 52nd Signal Battalion, Stuttgart, Germany. The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to 5 years.

Serves as the primary personnel specialist at 52nd Signal Battalion with responsibility for providing staff advisory services to management and employees of the full range of command personnel programs.

Staffing advisory services includes staffing/reshape; position justification/organization design; labor/employee relations; personnel development/career program management; and automation.

Serves as team leader/member of personnel management staff assistance visits, projects, studies and other processes that require other participating members or teams.

Develops plans for and performs development and evaluation for the integrated personnel management program for the command.

Plans, coordinates and completes studies and projects in cited program areas, providing staff-level advice and service throughout the command.

Serves as the principal action officer on special assignments and requests for interpretive guidance in specific progam areas to include automation, alternate dispute resolution and the like.

Keeps abreadst of automation updates and systems requirements to allow incorporation of those tools in the program evaluation and operations aspects of the HR mission.

Provides guidance to other specialists in data retrieval, report construction, etc. to maximize effective use of those systems.
