Supervisory Physician (Emergency Medicine)

About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Physician (Emergency Medicine) at Military Treatment Facility Landstuhl. This position serves in the Emergency Department and is responsible for applying scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Responsible for the full range of cases and the immediate initial recognition, evaluation, care, and disposition of patients with acute illness and injury.

Responsible for the supervision and education of assigned medical officers, physician assistants, physician assistant students, rotating house staff, nursing staff, medics, clerks, EMS personnel, civilian medical providers, and/or medical students.

Participate in departmental and hospital performance improvement activities and make recommendations.

Monitor individual performance for purposes of continuous performance improvement in the department.

Instructs medical students rotating through Emergency Medicine.
