SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SAFETY MANAGER

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SAFETY MANAGER in the PRODUCTION PROCESS OFFICE (Code 900P), PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT without further competition***

You will be responsible for the continued growth and evolution of an enhanced safety culture within Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

You will direct formal surveillance of work processes to measure/evaluate degree of compliance with established safety regulations.

You will direct, review, and monitor production training courses and audit results on the job to ensure adequacy of training.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes and programs to ensure that injury prevention is the foremost goal in all production work plans.
