Summary
The Supervisory Program Manager (Assistant Director) at the Department of State assists in leading the Boston Passport Agency by overseeing daily operations, implementing fraud protection policies, and managing staff to ensure efficient passport issuance.
This position is located in the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Passport Services, Managing Director, Passport Issuance Operations, Boston Passport Agency (CA/PPT/I/BN). This position serves as a Supervisory Program Manager, with a working title of Assistant Director and contributes toward the directorate's policy guidance efforts by assisting the agency's Director to lead the Passport Agency.
Assists in managing the passport agency/center to which assigned by providing expert direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities.
Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures associated with document fraud protection and ensures that new technologies related to the detection and deterrence of passport fraud are implemented.
Oversees the analysis of identified patterns used in fraudulently obtaining passports and leads/participates in the development of protective strategies to mitigate this activity.
Exercises the full range of supervisory responsibilities and authorities, as delegated by the Agency Director, to ensure that the work of the agency/center is accomplished in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
