Supervisory Program Manager (Branch Chief)

You will serve as Branch Chief for the Communication and Stakeholder Branch coordinating communications and operational activities to support all aspects of the commodity procurement program.

The duties may include, but are not limited to:

Coordinates communications and operational activities to support all aspects of the commodity procurement program.

Develops and implements strategies to directly promote USDA programs and improve communication with internal and external stakeholders, including industry, vendors, processors, and recipients involved in the commodity procurement program.

Manages the resolution of complaints, holds, recalls, and other administrative issues involving the procurement program in coordination with contracting staff.

Manages the formulation and implementation of outreach programs intended to market the commodity procurement program to new and current program participants, including small businesses.

Manages the recruitment, development, and maintenance of viable, engaged, and productive workforce.

Plans work within the branch, oversees the flow of work, and assumes responsibility for assuring that all deadlines for completion of work are met. Develops performance standards for team employees and evaluates work performance.
