Supervisory Program Specialist
The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Supervisory Program Specialist. The Program Specialist will function at the Akron VA Outpatient Clinic within Community Outpatient Service.
Duties include but not limited to: Provides oversight by monitoring administrative reports brining discrepancies, trends and outliers to the attention of the Facility Director. Provides administrative support to all areas within the Community Outpatient Services (COPS), including scheduling, vet choice, recall, travel, etc. Coordinates, directs and assures inconsistencies on reports is corrected and deadlines for completion of reports is met. Independently analyzes and evaluates the efficiency of reports to ensure that the VHA goals and objectives are met if required inform the specific Facility Director of the outpatient clinic that correction action is needed. Works independently to interpret any and all regulatory guidance establishing a strategy/action plan and prepares a status report for review by the Facility Director. Serves as liaison between the Assistant Director and subordinates. Appropriates control systems are maintained to ensure due dates of reports or correspondence are met. Ensures all administrative and staff member is current on training and educational requirements necessary to perform job duties Maintains time cards are accurate for all clinics and all clinic directors, and that time cards are submitted to certifying officials in a timely manner in order to meet payroll deadlines. Works to identify process issues and areas for improvement. Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday Compressed/Flexible: Not Available. Telework: This position is not authorized for telework.
