Supervisory Property Disposal Specialist

Directs a property disposal program segment to ensure operational effectiveness and mission performance. Plans, assigns, and directs work, setting priorities, schedules, and performance standards for subordinate employees.
Implements reverse logistics solutions; efficient plans, cost-effective flow of spare materials, in-process inventory and related information from when property is declared as excess to disposition to recapture value or ensure compliant disposal.
Exercises full supervisory authority, including evaluating performance, resolving complaints, hiring, approving leave, and initiating disciplinary actions. Identifies and arranges for employee training and development.
Develops and implements process improvements, best practices, and corrective actions to enhance efficiency and quality. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining audit readiness per OMB Circular A-123 and reducing bottlenecks.
Serves as a principal advisor, negotiating with DoD, DLA, federal agencies, and commercial organizations to provide property disposal support and resolve complex issues. Recommends actions to meet unique needs of military commands and customers.
Prepares or demonstrates capabilities of newly automated disposal methods, operational processes and techniques.
