Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the work performed by Respiratory Therapists who administer Respiratory Care in the treatment and diagnosis of critically and non-critically ill patients from neonatal to geriatric patient populations.

Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the work performed by respiratory therapists who administer inhalation therapy to ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients.

Make work assignments and adjust workload and shift assignments as required, to provide continuing care, considering available personnel, capabilities, official assignments and related factors

Perform and/or supervise the delivery of nebulized and intermittent positive pressure breathing treatments, pre-and post operative breathing training, and postural drainage and percussion

Evaluate present and proposed inhalation therapy equipment and procedures for adequacy, cost, therapeutic value, and qualified operators

Evaluate work performance of subordinates in accordance with performance standards, recommends awards, promotions, and implements disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands.
