Supervisory Security Guard

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent will serve as the Chief of Guards with overall responsibility for managing a large guard workforce with the primary function of conducting access control to the installation and additional missions.

Oversee and direct the work of the Security Guard Branch.

Propose and justify revision of staffing levels and work priorities.

Make decisions on non-routine, costly or controversial training needs.

Ensure required and approved equipment is requested, issued and maintained properly.

Review standing operating procedures, special and general orders to ensure they are correct.
