SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located in the Mission Support Element for Jungle Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk Assistant Chief of Staff, G2 at Fort Polk, Louisiana.
Serves as the Security Manager for the Assistant Chief of Staff, G2, Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk.
Manages Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial Security programs and develops related security policies and procedures.
Manages Sensitive Compartmented Information program IAW DODI 5105.21 Vol I, II, and III as the alternate Special Security Officer.
Performs review and analysis of sensitive and/or classified paper or electronic documents and accepts or rejects documents in accordance with applicable policies, rules, regulations and laws.
Serves as the Deployment Threat Analyst (DTA), conducting terrorist threat assessments and providing in support of the Force Protection Security Program.
Performs as the alternate Foreign Disclosure Officer; executing Foreign Disclosure Program IAW AR 380-10 and the DoD National Disclosure Policy.
Reviews contracts, security negotiations with contractors, and preparation and review of contractor access documentation in accordance with national and agency Industrial Security guidelines.
Directly supervises employees engaged in the personnel security mission, providing advise, guidance, and instruction to employees on work and administrative matters.
