Supervisory Social Worker

The Caregiver Support Program Manager provides supervision of multidisciplinary staff assigned to Caregiver Support Program. The Caregiver Support Program Manager oversees service delivery and coordination of care activities for family caregivers who provide personal care services to eligible Veterans regardless of periods of service. The Caregiver Support Program Manager may provide clinical interventions to the Veteran and caregiver populations served by the program.

Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Program Coordination Accountable for the success of specific programs and ensures that the programs operate at a high level of effectiveness to comply with standards of accrediting, regulatory, and VA authority. Develop and facilitates CSP focused direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for VA facility staff and the community. Develops policies and procedures for program operation, and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. Administrative Plans, organizes, and coordinates administrative, operational, clinical and personnel activities for the CSP program. Responsible for all aspects of program staffing, work assignments, budget, and treatment services. Responsible for managing and reporting on program specific fund control points, labor mapping, workload, and clinic utilization within the assigned program area. Evaluates subordinates' performance and offers instruction, advice or counseling on clinical practice and general work, ancillary services, and administrative matters. Develops and monitors standards of clinical practice/standards of care for clinical staff, including development of care guidelines, manuals and guides to professional practice. Participate in staff recruitment, screening of applicants and staff assignments. Perform other duties as assigned. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade). Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
