Oversees supplier quality for a manufacturing supply chain, resolving nonconformances and implementing risk controls like CAPA, FMEA, and SPC to meet product requirements.

Supplier Quality Engineer (CAPA, FMEA, SPC)

Responsibilities

  • Leads all efforts focused on supplier quality performance within company Supply Chain.
  • Drive investigation, resolution and prevention of supplier product and process nonconformances.
  • Identify and implement effective supplier process control systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet specified requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Communicates quality issues and overall performance levels with suppliers.
  • Support completion and maintenance of risk analysis with suppliers
  • Support design engineering in the completion of product verification and validation within the company supply chain.
  • Owns supplier quality function metrics and communications supplier performance Internally
  • Support all assigned initiatives as identified by management in the improvement of company Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field, or at least 5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, machining, or metal fabrication industries.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, data analysis, and report writing.
