Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments of new suppliers and periodic reviews of key existing suppliers.

• Drive supplier improvement plans to meet company quality requirements.

• Investigate material defects, coordinate returns and ensure timely replacements.

• Apply 8D and other quality tools to implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Collaborate with suppliers, Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve material quality issues.

• Maintain supplier performance records and evaluation scores.

• Guide incoming quality inspectors on inspection methods and procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

• At least 2 years of supplier quality experience.

• Knowledge of mechanical parts or PCBA; experience with both is preferred.

• Familiarity with 8D, Pareto Analysis, 5 Whys, FMEA and quality control plans.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, independent and comfortable working with diverse teams.
