Exceeding International Limited, trading as Raytech, is seeking an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory, warehousing and nationwide distribution operations. The role includes supplier negotiation, international freight coordination, stock planning, warehouse supervision, cost control and operational reporting. Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or have at least five years’ relevant experience. Permanent full-time role, minimum 30 hours per week, paying $37.00–$40.00 per hour.

Exceeding International Limited, trading as Raytech, is an Auckland-based supplier of mobile device parts and related products. We source products from local and international suppliers and distribute them to customers across the mobile device repair, retail and wholesale sectors throughout New Zealand.

As our business continues to develop, we are looking for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to manage and coordinate our supply, inventory, warehousing and distribution operations.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning, managing and coordinating the supply, storage and distribution of mobile device parts and related products to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet business and customer requirements.

• Developing and implementing purchasing, inventory, warehousing and distribution procedures to support efficient business operations.

• Monitoring inventory levels, product demand and stock movements, and determining appropriate stock replenishment requirements.

• Planning and coordinating the procurement of products from local and international suppliers according to stock requirements, sales demand and operational needs.

• Liaising and negotiating with overseas and local suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, purchasing requirements, order quantities and delivery schedules.

• Coordinating international shipments and working with freight forwarders, customs agents, couriers and other logistics providers to facilitate the timely arrival and distribution of goods.

• Planning and overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods, and ensuring appropriate warehouse procedures are followed.

• Coordinating the distribution and delivery of products to retail, wholesale and other business customers throughout New Zealand.

• Monitoring supplier performance, freight arrangements, delivery timeframes and distribution costs, and addressing supply or delivery issues where required.

• Reviewing inventory and distribution data to identify stock shortages, excess inventory, supply delays and other operational issues, and implementing appropriate solutions.

• Managing and supervising warehouse and distribution staff, including allocating duties, coordinating work schedules, providing training and monitoring performance.

• Establishing and maintaining appropriate inventory control systems and ensuring accurate records are maintained for incoming goods, stock movements and outgoing deliveries.

• Monitoring operational expenditure relating to purchasing, freight, warehousing and distribution, and assisting with the preparation and management of relevant operational budgets.

• Ensuring warehouse and distribution activities comply with applicable health and safety requirements and the company’s operational policies and procedures.

• Preparing regular reports for management on inventory levels, purchasing, supplier performance, freight costs, warehouse operations and distribution performance.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this position, applicants must have one of the following:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or another relevant field; or

• At least five years of relevant work experience in supply, logistics, warehousing, distribution, international trade or a closely related area.

Applicants will also be expected to have:

• Good knowledge of supply chain, inventory, warehousing and distribution processes.

• Strong organisational and planning skills.

• Good communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and logistics providers.

• The ability to manage stock movements, purchasing requirements and delivery schedules effectively.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to supply and distribution issues.

• The ability to supervise staff and coordinate day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations.
