This role partners closely with Sourcing Managers, suppliers, Engineering, Production, and Operations to help ensure critical materials are available when and where they are needed.

- Analyze supply, demand, inventory, cost, and supplier data to identify risks and support purchasing decisions.
- Resolve material discrepancies, non-conformances, and supply variances in partnership with suppliers and internal teams.
- Support risk-buy decisions, component qualifications, and alternate-source activities when additional supply continuity is needed.
- Monitor supplier performance across delivery, cost, quality, and execution, escalating risks and driving follow-through as needed.
- Help identify and develop alternative supply sources when existing suppliers cannot meet business requirements.
- Maintain accurate sourcing and supplier information, including operational reports, purchasing systems, and blanket purchase orders.
- Coordinate across Sourcing, Engineering, Production, Operations, and suppliers to communicate material risks, priorities, owners, and recovery dates.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, purchasing, material planning, production planning, or supplier management; BA/BS degree preferred.
- Experience working with suppliers, purchase orders, production/material requirements, or delivery schedules.
- Ability to analyze data and translate supply or purchasing issues into clear actions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple material priorities and supplier commitments.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with fiber, optical transceivers, networking, electronics, or data center components is highly relevant but not required.
- Experience with component qualification, supplier expediting, shortage management, or alternate sourcing is a plus.
