Supply Chain Coordinator

Position Description

The Penske Supply Chain Coordinator leverages customer systems and supply chain processes to ensure the uninterrupted flow of material between the Mopar supplier base and Mopar distribution centers (DCs) and dealerships. This position serves as a key liaison between suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to support supply continuity, resolve disruptions, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize customer and internal systems to monitor and manage supply chain performance.
• Maintain accurate records, enter data, and generate reports to support customer and operational requirements.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers to ensure production and shipment deadlines are achieved.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve part availability, shipment, transportation, and inventory issues.
• Monitor supply chain exceptions and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
• Perform recurring analysis to identify and support cost savings and process improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate current processes and recommend or implement solutions to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Ensure customer service and delivery commitments are met in accordance with established deadlines and service levels.
• Exercise independent judgment in responding to customer inquiries, resolving constraints, and recommending solutions.
• Develop, analyze, and present supply chain metrics, trends, and performance reporting to customers and leadership.
• Support continuous improvement efforts through root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making.

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• 1 year of Transportation Management experience preferred, with a focus on shipment coordination

• Must also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer transportation management and inventory systems.

• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, team player, flexibility required, verbal & written communication skills, excellent with numbers and time management, strong problem solving skills required

• Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required

• Experience using office tools such as MS Office or Google Suite

• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
