The First Mile S&OP, Outbound Execution Planning Team is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to own outbound shipment planning and backlog management for Amazon sites (FC/EF) across Japan, during both regular and peak seasons. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple teams to build shipment plans from Amazon's fulfillment network to customers, working closely with each site as well as last-mile planning teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Improve short-term demand forecast accuracy and manage the coordination process across FC and EF sites to ensure operational targets are met.
- Own backlog management and operations, identifying root causes of discrepancies and implementing corrective actions that drive measurable improvements in throughput and quality.
- Develop and manage peak-season shipment plans by collaborating with site operations, transportation, and planning teams to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Create and refine inventory ramp-up plans for new sites, working with procurement and network planning partners to verify supply readiness against launch timelines.
- Build and maintain reporting mechanisms and Key Performance Indicators in partnership with analytics teams, enabling data-driven decision-making and presenting mitigation plans during business reviews.

- アナリティクスチームと連携してレポーティングの仕組みとKPIを構築・維持し、データドリブンな意思決定を可能にするとともに、ビジネスレビューにおいて対応策を提示する。
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing demand/ship forecast outputs and flagging variances that need adjustment before the daily team meeting. From there, you could join a call with FC Ops team to align on backlog priorities, then shift to refining a shipment plan for an upcoming sale/peak period with transportation and operations partners. Later in the afternoon, you review the plans you have created and work on improving existing processes to make them simpler and more effective.
朝はまず需要・出荷予測のアウトプットを確認し、デイリーのチームミーティング前に調整が必要な差異を洗い出すところから始まるかもしれません。その後、FCオペレーションチームとのコールに参加してBacklogの優先順位をすり合わせ、続いて輸送・オペレーションのパートナーとともに、直近のセール・繁忙期に向けた出荷計画のブラッシュアップに取り組みます。午後は、作成した計画のレビューや、既存プロセスをよりシンプルで効果的にするための改善を行います。

The Outbound Execution Planning Team (OBET) sits within Amazon Japan's First Mile S&OP division. We are responsible for running the fulfillment network efficiently across both short-term and long-term planning horizons, covering more than 100 FC and EF sites. Our goal is to ensure customers receive a broad selection of products with sufficient inventory and fast delivery speeds. We work closely with site operations, transportation, and network planning teams, and we are always looking for ways to simplify and improve how we operate.
