Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary
We are supporting a growing metal-mechanic manufacturing company in search of a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end operations. This role is key to ensuring material availability, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening vendor and logistics performance across multiple locations. It’s a strategic position with strong cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, expansion-driven environment.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related field.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working specifically with IRON-related materials.
  • 10+ years of overall experience in supply chain.
  • 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (IMMEX).
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).


Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, and vendor management.
  • Strong command of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and best practices in logistics and inventory control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across functions and plants.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Strong background in inventory optimization, supplier coordination, and cost control.
  • Experience leading Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure material availability across all company locations and address shortages proactively.
  • Optimize inventory levels while maintaining appropriate safety stock and minimizing cost.
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects within the supply chain and purchasing areas.
  • Track and report key KPIs related to inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and freight optimization.
  • Direct buyers and teams in vendor releases, purchasing strategies, and sourcing terms.
  • Coordinate closely with operations to ensure production alignment and material readiness.
  • Manage commodity capacity planning and scheduling across multiple plants.
  • Oversee SAP data integrity and materials setup for new launches (working with Data Admin).
  • Guide SAP Data Administrator on material master data, forecasts, and purchase orders.
  • Reduce freight costs through better supply strategies and logistics collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, audits, and customer-specific requirements.
  • When assigned direct reports, handle hiring, performance reviews, and professional development.
