Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations for a food chain business. This role will manage Procurement, Demand & Supply Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Central Kitchen, and overall Supply Chain Operations, ensuring the right products and ingredients are available at the right quality, quantity, cost, and time to support restaurant operations and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Supplier Management
- Develop and manage procurement strategies for food ingredients, packaging, equipment, and other operational materials.
- Manage supplier sourcing, selection, negotiation, contracts, pricing, payment terms, and supplier performance.
- Ensure procurement activities achieve the right balance between cost, quality, availability, and food safety.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and develop alternative sources to minimize supply disruption.
- Monitor purchasing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement efficiency.
2. Demand & Supply Planning
- Lead demand planning and forecasting based on sales trends, promotions, seasonality, new store openings, and business growth plans.
- Develop accurate supply plans to ensure sufficient stock availability across restaurants and the central kitchen.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Store teams to align demand and supply requirements.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, inventory levels, stock availability, and supply gaps, taking corrective action when required.
- Establish appropriate inventory targets, safety stock, reorder points, and replenishment strategies.
3. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, stock control, and inventory movement.
- Ensure proper inventory management for fresh, frozen, chilled, dry, and packaging materials.
- Establish appropriate FIFO/FEFO practices and ensure product quality and shelf-life requirements are maintained.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock aging, wastage, shrinkage, and slow-moving/obsolete items.
- Improve warehouse utilization, productivity, processes, and operating costs.
4. Logistics & Distribution
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including deliveries from suppliers to the central kitchen and distribution to restaurants.
- Develop efficient delivery routes, schedules, and distribution processes to support multiple outlets.
- Monitor transportation costs, delivery performance, service levels, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure appropriate handling and transportation conditions for chilled, frozen, and fresh food products.
- Work with logistics partners and internal teams to resolve delivery issues and minimize supply disruption.
5. Central Kitchen Management
- Oversee supply chain-related operations of the Central Kitchen, ensuring raw materials are available according to production requirements.
- Coordinate procurement, production planning, inventory, storage, and distribution between the Central Kitchen and restaurant branches.
- Ensure production plans are aligned with restaurant demand and sales forecasts.
- Monitor food production yield, wastage, ingredient utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality/Food Safety teams to maintain required food quality and safety standards.
6. Overall Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement an end-to-end supply chain strategy supporting business expansion and operational efficiency.
- Integrate Procurement Demand Planning Supply Planning Central Kitchen Warehouse Logistics Restaurants into an efficient supply chain process.
- Establish and monitor key KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, stock availability, OTIF, procurement savings, logistics cost, wastage, and service level.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Lead process improvement and digitalization initiatives to improve visibility, efficiency, and scalability.
- Build, manage, and develop the Supply Chain team while establishing clear processes, responsibilities, and performance targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, or Operations, preferably within Food Chain, Restaurant, FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Retail.
- Proven experience managing multiple supply chain functions, including Procurement, Demand Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Inventory, and Central Kitchen/Production.
- Strong understanding of food-related supply chains, including fresh/frozen/chilled products, shelf life, FEFO/FIFO, food safety, and wastage management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data for forecasting and decision-making.
- Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience managing teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Hands-on, proactive, and commercially minded with strong cost-control and continuous-improvement capabilities.
- Good command of English and Thai.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain systems would be an advantage.
