Supply Chain Manager - Planning/Scheduling
A Master Scheduler serves as the central coordinator for production planning, scheduling, and monitoring in manufacturing environments, translating customer demand into actionable production plans while optimizing resources and costs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align with sales forecasts, production capacity, and inventory goals.
- Coordinating with sales, procurement, production, and logistics to synchronize activities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitoring production progress, identifying potential disruptions, and implementing contingency plans to maintain schedule adherence.
- Using advanced scheduling software to create, adjust, and communicate production schedules.
- Conducting scenario planning and "what-if" analyses to anticipate the impact of demand fluctuations, material shortages, or equipment downtime.
- Maintaining accurate records of scheduling activities, changes, and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.
- Capacity planning, forecasting and analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
