Supply Chain Manager
About pplwise
pplwise is a recruiting consultancy for fast-growing technology companies across Europe. Through Recruiting as a Service and Executive Search, we fill key roles for our clients, from start-ups to publicly listed companies. We are filling this position for our client Filics.
About our client: Filics
Filics is reinventing intralogistics with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) that change how material moves. Its double-runner system makes Filics the first and only AMR that can drive through load carriers such as Euro pallets. This breaks with forklift logic and sets a new standard for efficiency. Filics is a small, hands-on team that solves hard problems with engineering excellence. Leadership goes to those who take initiative and consistently deliver. As Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d) at Filics, you will build the supply chain that takes the robots into series production.
About the role
This is an on-site/hybrid role in Munich, close to engineering and assembly.
Filics robots are built from hundreds of components. Many come from a single source, and most aren’t under contract yet. Moving from prototypes to series production, one missing part can stop the whole line. Your job is to build a robust supply chain from scratch. It needs to know exactly what Filics depends on, secure those parts before they become a risk, and hold up as volumes grow, all while production is already running. You take full ownership of how every component is sourced, secured and managed.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, which owns the technical specs and qualifies suppliers and alternative components. Assembly depends on reliable supply to plan builds. Leadership sets volume commitments based on your analysis.
What you’ll do
Identify critical dependencies, lock in availability through supplier contracts, and qualify alternatives so no single source can stop production
Set up the ERP and the systems the supply chain runs on, including supplier quality tracking
Define clear quality criteria for suppliers and components together with Engineering
Give the assembly team the forward visibility they need to plan builds
Turn supply analysis into input for Leadership’s volume commitments
Once supply is robust, reduce component prices toward a leaner bill of materials
About you
Several years in supply chain, procurement or sourcing for hardware products (e.g. robotics, automotive, machinery, electronics)
Proven experience moving products from prototype to series production
A solid grasp of BOMs, component sourcing, supplier qualification and supplier quality
Strong negotiation skills and experience closing supplier contracts
A hands-on, structured approach: you prioritize well, work comfortably without defined processes, and deliver
Clear, concise communication in English and German
What Filics offers
Full ownership of a function you build yourself, with direct impact on getting the robots into series production
A small, ambitious team where initiative leads to responsibility
Work on a first-of-its-kind product in intralogistics
An on-site/hybrid role in Munich, close to Engineering and Assembly
