Supply Chain Manager (Retail/F&B)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Operations
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and cost optimization across procurement, warehousing, inventory, and logistics functions.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring timely availability of products and materials to support business and retail operations.
- Continuously review and improve supply chain processes, SOPs, and workflows to enhance operational performance and scalability.
2. Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage procurement activities for food ingredients, packaging materials, consumables, equipment, and indirect purchases while ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements to maximize value.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier reliability and quality standards.
3. Inventory Planning & Control
- Lead inventory planning and replenishment activities to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing wastage, stock shortages, and excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movements, expiry management, and inventory turnover across warehouses and retail outlets.
- Develop inventory optimization strategies that improve working capital while maintaining high service levels.
4. Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries to retail outlets.
- Coordinate closely with logistics partners and internal operations teams to improve delivery efficiency and service reliability.
- Monitor logistics performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve distribution effectiveness.
5. Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical trends, promotional activities, and seasonal demand.
- Align procurement and replenishment plans with forecasted demand to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Support new product launches, promotional campaigns, and outlet expansion by ensuring supply readiness.
6. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Retail teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain activities.
- Support outlet openings, menu changes, and business expansion initiatives by ensuring operational readiness from a supply chain perspective.
- Serve as the key liaison between suppliers, warehouse operations, and internal stakeholders to resolve supply-related issues promptly.
7. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs, including inventory turnover, supplier performance, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), logistics costs, stock accuracy, and procurement savings.
- Prepare regular reports and performance dashboards for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service levels.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the F&B, retail, FMCG, or food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations in a multi-site retail or restaurant environment.
- Experience supporting business expansion, new outlet openings, or supply chain transformation initiatives will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, demand planning, warehousing, and logistics operations.
- Proven ability to optimize inventory levels while balancing product availability and cost efficiency.
- Excellent supplier management and commercial negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret operational data and drive informed decisions.
- Experience using ERP, inventory management, or supply chain planning systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
